  • 2 cups (400g) granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (90g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 12 chocolate ice cream cones
  • 2 cups (300g) powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • Green food coloring
  • Halloween-themed sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9 x 13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the unsalted butter in a saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and mix in granulated sugar. Allow to cool slightly before whisking in eggs and vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely on a wire rack.
  5. Decorate chocolate ice cream cones as witch hats with melted chocolate and sprinkles.
  6. Make frosting by mixing powdered sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and green food coloring until smooth. Frost cooled brownies generously.
  7. Place an inverted cone on each brownie and add extra sprinkles for decoration.
