  • For Frosting: ½ cup salted butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • food coloring (optional)
  • sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the vanilla extract and egg, mixing until smooth.
  3. Gradually stir in the all-purpose flour and baking powder until a dough forms. Press evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  4. Bake for 14-16 minutes or until lightly golden around the edges. Allow to cool completely in the pan.
  5. For the frosting, beat together softened butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream until peaks form. Optionally add food coloring.
  6. Spread frosting over cooled cookie bars and top with sprinkles.
  7. Cut into squares and serve.
