Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 salmon fillet (about 150-180g)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 lemon wedge (for serving)
  • 1 cup cooked white rice (jasmine or basmati)

Instructions

  1. Prepare rice according to package instructions. Fluff with a fork and keep warm.
  2. Pat the salmon dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Place the salmon skin-side down and cook for 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Flip carefully and cook for another 3-4 minutes until fully cooked.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat slightly and add butter until melted, then add minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Spoon the glaze over the salmon.
  5. Serve the salmon over fluffy rice, garnished with parsley and a lemon wedge.
